Atlas of Skin Cancers Processed by Frozen Sections and Mohs Surgery

Autor Stephen N. Snow, B. Jack Longley, Daniel B. Stewart
en Limba Engleză Mixed media product – 26 aug 2008
This work is the first of its kind, demonstrating the interpretation of pathology slides processed by frozen sections. It includes clinical photos of the primary tumor of nearly every type of skin cancer, compiled from cases treated at the premier facility for Mohs micrographic surgery—the Dermatologic/Mohs Surgery Clinic at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
In compiling this material, the authors made every effort to match these tumors with the actual frozen (and sometimes paraffin) microsection photos, to provide true clinicopathologic correlation. A chapter includes frozen section slides prepared for Dr. Frederic Mohs from tissue prefixed with zinc chloride paste. The book contains 400 large digital photomicrographs in full color. The DVD, which reproduces the 400 high-resolution images found in the book and includes 600 more, all keyword-searchable, as well as a built-in scan and zoom feature, is an excellent tool for teaching both large and small groups.
This atlas will be an invaluable asset to Mohs surgery practitioners, whether they have been using the technique for years or are just starting.
