Autumn's Quest

Autor Cheryl Braginsky
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 16 iun 2019
Deep in the Dark Forest a tiny fairy is losing her battle to fly through a massive storm. Exhausted, she can barely move her wings as wind-blown branches and sheets of drenching water drive her ever closer to the flooded forest floor. Certain she is about to drown, she tenses her muscles and shuts her eyes. But instead of rushing water, she feels long thorn-covered vines wrap around her and pull her back. Only the bush isn't there to save her. It is there to deliver her to her greatest enemy. Thus begins the quest of Autumn Primrose.Along the way, as Autumn struggles to transform herself from a healer to a warrior, she gathers an unlikely band of companions to share her journey. They include a shy hedgehog, an elegant dragon fly, a deadly elf warrior, and an Armada of Sea Elves. She also learns the truth about her parents' deaths at the hands of Azara, the same enemy she is destined to face.Azara was once the queen of the Fairy Realm. During her reign she enslaved her subjects and devastated the realm's environment in pursuit of her evil aims. Eventually the fairy folk rebelled and banished her for the remainder of her life. Now she's escaped from her prison, sent for her boggart army, and returned for revenge.

Notă biografică

Cheryl Braginsky has been a writer since she was a child writing plays to perform with her friends. As an adult, she spent 12 years as a journalist and newspaper editor before returning to school to earn a Teaching Credential. She then taught fourth grade for many years. Today she uses the knowledge and skills she acquired in both fields to craft books for children.Cheryl lives with her husband in Portland, Oregon where she enjoys exploring the mountains, forests, and rivers of the Pacific Northwest. Before moving to Oregon, she lived on the coast of California where she took daily walks beside the Pacific Ocean. Because Cheryl has always enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, it isn't surprising that the natural world is a significant part of the books she writes today.
