Not your normal thriller here. Roger Blakely has the ability to take the thriller elements and interweave them with a very believable and likable protagonist. The level of detail is refreshing as too many of this genre now-a-days ram one chase/gun-fight/near death struggle right after another without any plot development in between. Sure, Turncoat has those things but in proper doses with story and character to boot. I liken it to something in the vein of Alistair McClain or John Le Carre.
