This blog now book was birthed through Hillis' personal experience of being an entrepreneur, creating a startup marketing business and having it fail with the entrance of the 2008 recession. Becoming depressed and turning to his friends and family for help, he was able to see his life from a different point of view. The view point of gratitude. It was Thanksgiving of 2008 when Hillis' life came into full view. He became ever grateful for the assistant, love and support of his family and friends. With this new life appreciation, he wrote a letter to them to acknowledge the love pouring from his heart. The replies received validated the joy he felt, the feeling of gratitude, knowing he can do anything with love. His heat was full of appreciation of the support he received. This one email turned into a blog to share his truths and experiences of gratitude from the past year. This experience helped him to become more aware of himself and how to be more thankful in the every day experience.
