Thomas P. Hogan, Ph.D. is professor of psychology and Distinguished University Fellow at the University of Scranton. He teaches courses in statistics, research methods, psychological testing, and educational assessment. While doing so, he has received all three of the University¿s teaching awards. Prior to his time as full-time professor, he served as Dean of the Graduate School and Director of Research and as Interim Provost/Academic Vice President at Scranton. Previously, he was professor of psychology, Associate Chancellor for Graduate and Professional Programs, and Co-Director of the Assessment Center at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He is the author or co-author of several nationally used standardized tests, textbooks on psychological testing and educational assessment, and over 100 published articles and presentations related to psychological and educational measurement. He serves frequently as a consultant to government agencies, professional organizations, and businesses on matters of measurement, research design, and statistical analysis. He holds a bachelor¿s degree from John Carroll University and both master¿s and doctoral degrees from Fordham University, with a specialization in psychometrics.
