Battles of Giorgland

Autor Tamuna Tsertsvadze
en Limba Engleză Paperback
*Story based on Georgian Mythology. Above Midland (the world of humans), far away, there is the world of Zeskneli (the heaven), and below Midland, there is Kveskneli (the underworld). In Zeskneli, there dwell the gods, and Kveskneli is inhabited by vicious demons... Young god, Giorgi, who has no fame in Zeskneli, and no reputation, admires the mighty goddess of the sky, Tamar, who flies over the Zeskneli lands every morning, mounted on her celestial snake, patrolling the areas. That is the only time Giorgi can see her, and the rest of the time, he just dreams about her... Giorgi has only one, but best friend in Zeskneli, also a simple god, the forest dweller, Ochokochi - a faun who enjoys playing on a flute and making sarcastic jokes about almost everything. He loves wild animals' company and is a friend of every wild animal in the forest. Ochokochi admires the courageous goddess of the hunt and the forest, Dali - beautiful golden-haired young woman who owns a golden-antlered agile deer - Nukri. However, Dali has affection only towards handsome men, so she pays no attention on Ochokochi. But, she is a close friend to Giorgi, whom she perceives only as a friend. Giorgi and Ochokochi aren't approved by the worthy gods of Zeskneli - warriors Gats and Gaim, the army commander and the main god's first vizier, Armaz (who is also the twin brother of sky goddess Tamar), and the Guard Lord and Master of the Court Zaden. Giorgi must earn these mighty gods' approval, and especially Armaz's one, in order to gain Tamar's attention and respect. The two friends, Giorgi and Ochokochi, decide to embark on a dangerous journey to acquire mythical creature companions like every other powerful god, and become heroes along the way, in order to gain their crushes' love.
