Notă biografică

Rev. Attorney Robin Harris Kimbrough is a native of Lexington, Kentucky and a graduate of Fisk University, Nashville, TN. Upon graduation, Rev. Kimbrough attended Emory School of Law and was awarded the Emory Law School Public Service Award. She also served as the National Black Law Students Association Convention Chair. After her admission into the Tennessee bar on November 13, 1995, she received an appointment as a Tennessee State Assistant Attorney General. This rewarding experience prepared Rev. Kimbrough for private practice. During this time, she answered her call to the ministry. While completing her ordination process, she took a leave from the practice of law to complete her Master of Divinity degree. She received a full scholarship to Vanderbilt Divinity School as the Kelly Miller Smith Scholar. In her last semester at Vanderbilt, Rev. Kimbrough resumed her law practice and received a church appointment in the United Methodist Church. Rev. Kimbrough has taught at Fisk University and in the Africana Studies Department at Tennessee State University. Rev. Kimbrough has a passion for writing. She has published two academic articles including the "Hermeneutics of Healing: A Pastoral Care Theology for African American women" and "How the Samaritan Woman Got Her Groove Back." Rev. Kimbrough has published a number of Bible study curricula for youth and adults. Currently, Rev. Kimbrough is the Legal Counsel for the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic & Sexual Violence, the Chaplain and Special Assistant to the President on United Methodist Affairs at Meharry Medical College, and pastors Scott United Methodist Church. In the midst of her numerous tasks, Rev. Kimbrough's priority is spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. This sought after teacher-preacher has preached around the country, and brings with her a profound, dynamic Holy Ghost filled calling to bring the Good News. She has two teenaged children, Elizabeth Kimbrough and Adric Kimbrough, Jr.
