Beauty and the Bar Musician: Gabrielle Douvane is a naive college student who is in the midst of reminiscing about her college days. This reminiscing is in the wake of a disastrous, emotionally charged phone call to Dylan Hayden, with whom she shares an unresolved past. Heartbroken and alone, Gabrielle needs to revisit her memories so that she can rediscover whether or not Dylan is the love of her life. In Heaven Goodbye, she continues to rehash the nebula of this love to hate him romance. The story is almost like a picturesque snapshot of a lighthearted, young girl who is living the dream of her own delusional, fairy tale romance. It is in this mirage, where she leads the reader, on an excursion into a seemingly perfect night.
