Yau Tsai is a faculty member of the Department of Applied Foreign Languages at Fooyin University, Taiwan. She holds a doctorate in education from Durham University, England. Her research interests include intercultural studies, second/foreign language acquisition, teaching English as a foreign language and higher education. Stephanie Houghton is an Associate Professor at the University of Kitakyushu, Japan. She holds a doctorate in education from Durham University, England. Her research interests lie in the development of intercultural communicative competence through English language education in higher education.
