Notă biografică

In April 2007, Floy Turner retired as a special agent from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement after serving as the Regional Crimes Against Children Coordinator in the Miami Region of Southeast Florida. Her investigative assignments have included complex investigations of serial homicide, kidnapping, missing children, child homicide, and human trafficking cases. She has served as a member of an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Law Enforcement Against Child Harm (LEACH) Task Force, the Miami-Dade County and Broward County Child Death Review Boards and U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Human Trafficking Task Force. Turner was responsible for establishing a Child Abduction Response Team (CART) for the South Florida Region. She also developed a three county CART in the St. Augustine area. She assisted in the development of the Human Trafficking curriculum for Basic Law Enforcement Training and Incentive Classes for Florida Police Officer's Standards. In 2004, Turner was awarded the State Law Enforcement Officer of the Year at Florida Missing Children's Day. From 2006 to 2012, she was employed as a consultant on the development and implementation of various training initiatives for an Office of Justice Program, the National AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program. She served as the AMBER Alert Liaison for the Eastern United States and Caribbean. Turner created the Child Abduction Response Team (CART) Certification program, which included a mock child abduction exercise. She was appointed by Governor Crist to the Florida Statewide Task Force on Human Trafficking in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, Turner was selected by the Organization of American States to conduct human trafficking training for government officials throughout the Caribbean and South America. From 2016 to present, Turner has been consulting with the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children as an international trainer. She also serves on the advisory board of Florida Department of Law enforcement's missing endangered persons clearinghouse. Turner received her bachelor of liberal studies degree from Barry university. She was awarded the 2016 John and Reve' Walsh Award at the Florida Missing Children's Day. In 2018, Floy was appointed to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse Advisory Board. Recently, Turner has co-authored the two best-selling books, Behind Her Miami Badge and Behind Her Special Agent Badge. The sequel to Behind Her Criminal Investigator's Badge.
