Jake Hunter, a slick divorce lawyer, needs a break from his busy life, after experiencing a health scare. Because of his job, he no longer believes in love, marriage, or relationships in general. That's until he meets the handsome, broody stranger Philip Michaelson. Phillip comes across as cynical, sarcastic and bitter, all traits that infuriate Jake to distraction. Yet he can't deny his attraction for the man. A man nursing a broken heart, since his cheating girlfriend betrayed and left him penniless.

"Listen, you Ivy League punk, I have a doctorate in architecture from Villanova. I am not a hick." He turns around, but immediately stops. "Oh, by the way," he calls over his shoulder, "I think you mean 'the house in which you are sleeping, ' not 'the house you're sleeping in, ' dumbass. Ending a sentence with a preposition makes you sound like a moron. Can I get back to work now?" Well, it's official. I hate this guy.
