Ben and Lucy: The Sunken Kingdom, is a fantasy adventure about fraternal twins Ben and Lucy and their travels in a new land, Zhunanium. "Ben and Lucy: The Sunken Kingdom" will introduce us to a new pair of heroes with magical strengths drawn from being twins. The magic and balance between male and female powers will be revealed by the adventures of Ben and Lucy through a new world rich in facinating characters. The story begins innocently one night as Ben awakes in his room. Stars soon appear as his bedroom walls disappear. Ben must share the experience with his twin sister Lucy. The two are lying in Ben's bed admiring the stars and planets lighting up the sky that has replaced his ceiling. As the twins gaze upon the stars, the bed rises into the air and suddenly whisks them off to a distant land. Hidden beneath the covers, the bed comes to rest amongst trees where Ben and Lucy soon realize the world is nothing like they had known before. Befriended by a kindly old sage, Charnac, the two embark on their adventures in Zhunaniam. Suddenly Charnac's house is attacked and the twins must escape with the help of a large bird named Parmesis. During an in-flight battle, the twins are dropped into a lake and then must find their way to the Sunken Kingdom and meet the empress, Eloise. The Empress needs their help to rid the land of an evil warlord and remove the curse upon her palace. Ben and Lucy discover that the most powerful magic of all is the bond between themselves and the balance of nature. They are given two powerful tools for their journey, backpacks. During their adventure, the twins will encounter talking birds, a singing bear, Terrordons, an enchanting empress, a gigantic serpent, and their own magical powers. "Ben and Lucy: The Sunken Kingdom" will set the stage for a series of books that will uncover the true evil in Zhunanium.
