Mattison is an organizational and talent development practitioner, Author of her books "The Thread Memoir", The Thread Coloring Book", and "Beside Still Waters Devotional", creator of the "T.H.R.E.A.D Six-Step System" and founder of The Thread, a ministry established on the principle that "God can transform any problem for His glory and your good." She stands firmly on the belief that for people and organizations to unleash their potential, improve performance, and increase impact, they must acheive intentional transformation. She uses her faith, gifts, educational background, and life experience to help individuals and organizations unlock the best version of themselves. Over the last eighteen years, she has successfully led large transformation projects, teams, and initiatives, impacting up to 60 departments in an organization that has 83,000 employees and 8.4 million constituents. Through her efforts, she has impacted, increased, and secured nearly $75 million in grants. Although Leonie was successful in her career, her spiritual life was in severe chaos due to her unhealed childhood that followed her into adulthood. In 2013, after she hit rock bottom and survived a stroke-near death experience, she surrendered her life to Christ. Leonie began to engage in intimate conversations with God when one particular day while on a spiritual journey, God birth in her The Thread Ministry to help survivors heal from trauma. Women who have found themselves dealing with the disappointment of always feeling knocked down by life, and who are left trapped in past painful experiences, can finally rise to release themselves from guilt, shame, and sorrow and begin living true freedom, true happiness, and closeness with God. Where they usually feel unworthy, damaged, and humiliated, they begin to feel whole, at peace, happy, and complete, as a daughter of God. Women are living a brand-new life as overcomers. They begin to experience more joy; they live flourishing lives with no limitations on who, how, and what they can become in God; they improve their performance; they even launch careers that are positively impacting the world.
