Betrayal
Autor Susan Newmanen Limba Engleză Paperback – 4 dec 2020
BETRAYAL' is a gripping murder mystery novel set in rural Ireland in the 1960s. A dark psychological thriller that explores the brittle nature of relationships and the betrayal of trust. A young girl is murdered on her way home from school and, due to a compromised crime scene there is a danger that it will become yet another unsolved murder. There are no suspects and no obvious motivation.
Kinsale, in the late 60s seems to be a safe and secure place to live. But, as Inspector Morecamb from the Serious Crime Division in Cork delves deeper into the lives of the locals, the fractures which characterise many communities begin to emerge. Petty jealousies, revenge, gossip and broken dreams provide the backdrop of many rural landscapes. Kinsale is no different.

Notă biografică
Susan is a retired teacher of English and this is her second novel. Originally from Co. Cork she now lives in Limerick and is the mother of four grown-up children. The success of her first novel was a great impetus to complete and publish 'Betrayal', the second in the series of Inspector Morecamb stories. Both books are of the Crime fiction genre and both are set in the late 60s in rural Ireland. She has had a number of topical articles published in 'Headstuff' and devotes most of her time to writing.
