Shauna Travis, a talented young painter, is thrilled when she is among those chosen by an eccentric millionaire to spend the summer at High Cliff, a haven for promising artists. All of Shauna's expenses will be paid and all her time will be peacefully devoted to painting or so she thinks until she arrives at the mansion that will be her home and workplace for the season.
