Notă biografică

Joan Burbick (Ph.D., Brandeis University) has held two endowed professorships in English and American Studies at Washington State University. She has been visiting scholar at Stanford University and University of Colorado, Boulder. She has published books and articles on nineteenth and twentieth century literature and culture, with her latest book being Gun Show Nation: Gun Culture and American Democracy. William R. Glass (Ph.D., Emory University) is professor of American Social History at the American Studies Center of the University of Warsaw (Poland). He is the author of several articles and a book on the history of religion in the American South, Strangers in Zion: Fundamentalists in the South, 1900-1950.
