Bio-Psycho-Social Perspectives on Interpersonal Violence

Editat de Martha Frias-Armenta, Victor Corral-Verdigp
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 18 aug 2010
The purpose of the book is to analyse interpersonal violence from an international, multi-thematic and theoretically-diverse perspective. An international team of scholars offers theoretical explanations and research results related to this insidious manifestation of aggressive behaviour. They also discuss the effectiveness of interventional programs and their evaluations. The text includes a wide range of topics on interpersonal violence, unveiling its multi-factorial nature. The resulting models involve situational and personal explanations of this instance of violence, including the analysis of complex relations among those factors. Neuropsychological variables, for instance, are studied as risk factors for antisocial behaviour; authors in this book show that neuropsychological delay makes juveniles vulnerable and prone to criminal acts.
