Notă biografică

Diana Grippo works for Apple in sales. She was previously a high school teacher and the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the Youth Outreach Media Mentor Program (YOMMP.) YOMMP shows students how to write, storyboard, direct, edit, shoot, and produce shorts, documentaries, and feature films. With mentors' help, students choose a cause they are passionate about, and after the production wraps, they must create action and activism plans which further their cause. Diana has suffered from bipolar disorder for 34 years, and was depressed from a young age. She has learned to cope with her illness by adopting a spiritual practice, using music therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, along with medication. She offers hope to those who are suffering and insight to family members. Diana graduated from UCLA with a degree in Economics and lives with her cat, Lucky, in Mountain View, CA.
