Notă biografică
Carolyn Downing has lived in Bishop's Stortford, with her husband, since 1983. She has an MA in Modern History from University College London. She has continued her interest in history as a volunteer at the Bishop's Stortford Museum. David Clare has been a volunteer at Bishop's Stortford Museum since 2007. He first produced material for the 2009 exhibition on the First World War. Since then David has been researching the First World War and its effect on Bishop's Stortford. Sarah Turner has been the Curator at Bishop's Stortford Museum since 2006. As curator she is responsible for the care of thousands of wonderful objects that relate to the history of Bishop's Stortford and surrounding areas. She began by specialising in Prehistory, but since curating the Bishop's Stortford Museum she has formed a keen interest in early twentieth-century history. She is currently researching the effects of the First World War in the local community.
