Black, Pregnant, and Shamed

After my second pregnancy, I became an advocate for NICU families and founded Glo Preemies. Glo Preemies is a special program that supports, empowers, and beautifies families with children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I have led and spoke nationally on research studies on racial disparity in the NICU and educational system. I am an Advisory Board Member for a racial disparity in the NICU research study at California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative based at Stanford Medical School and an Instructional Aide at Fortune School of Education. I am a labor and delivery Doula at the same hospital that I delivered two of my children because I wanted to support other mothers in my community. I am a Board Member to many NICU organizations and Credential Programs. I am also the co-founder of the Alliance For Black NICU Families. This book will help support you at the time where you feel the most isolated. Being a high-risk pregnant mom is scary and can leave you restless. After reading my stories you will feel connected and able to understand that our scariest moments can lead to a lifetime of beautiful memories. The information that I am sharing in this book has already helped thousands of women across the globe. All the stories have never been told together in its entirety.
