A Kreativ junkie and spiritual traveller, Uzair Merchant is an alumnus of Nottingham Trent and the New York Film Academy. "Uzi" is a product of the world; with Indian roots, he's lived between Dubai, London and New York and currently resides in Vancouver, Canada. But it's not all lights, camera and action. Music and Martial arts make up the other side to who he is. He holds a 4th degree Black Belt in Shorin Ryu Seibukan Karate from Okinawa Japan. Uzair's vision is based within Cosmic Creativity; The inner journey to the outer world. His work has been featured in worldwide publications and press such as Rolling Stones, Times of India, Gulf News, Khaleej Times, Urban Asian & Broadcast Pro Middle east.Founder of bKreativ Productions & The Kreativ Lab in Vancouver, Uzair is currently developing a multi-franchise universe, The Kreativ Universe. Currently Housing 16 characters the 'Kri8verse' is culturally diverse platform that incorporates original content IP's that bridges traditional cinema with web3, allowing regions such as the middle east to merge the worlds of Hollywood and Bollywood. He has a combined of over 35 awards won for his work as a Director , Producer and Production Designer Director & Creator of Stardust (OST to Black Rose) , Canada's first security NFT , that has racked up over 13 international awards, Uzair is adding to his 14 years in the film business after being part of projects ranging from features, to Tv shows such as : Superman and Lois (season 1& 2), The Misfits (starring Pierce Brosnan, Tim Roth), Deadpool 2, Star trek beyond, Fast and furious 7 & Skyfall (007) . Uzair's experience is diversified as a Director / Producer recently with his previous credits in the Art Department for shows with the BBC, Sesame street & over 50 international commercials (Cadillac, McDonalds, 7Up, UAE expo film 2015, VW, Dubai civil aviation, STC, Aspire Academy and many more). He has also production designed for the worlds largest cultural theme park : Global Village in Dubai for over 10 years, winning the 'Best Pavilion Award' and has been instrumental in shaping the Visuals of the Theme Park for over a decade designing pavilions for 12 countries and the bridges within the Park. In 2020 Uzair has won 6 international screenplay awards in multiple categories such as best action screenplay and best sci fi screenplay at the los angles film awards, top shorts and a few others for his latest tv series - Black Rose - now published as a Graphic Novel. In addition, his feature script 'The 8th Sin' won an honourable mention for Best SciFi script in 2019 at the Los Angeles film awards, that is set to release as a Graphic novel this 2023.
