Steven Simring M.D. is a psychiatrist who is on the faculty of the Columbia University College of physicians and Surgeons and Director of the Columbia/Cornell Residency in Psychiatry and the Law. Sue Klavans Simring D.S.W. is a practicing psychotherapist who specializes in working with couples and families. She is an adjunct professor at Columbia University School of Social Work. The Simrings have been married for 36 years and live in New Jersey. Florence Issacs is a free-lance writer who lives in New York City.
