Notă biografică

Giray Saynur Bozkurt received her PhD from Marmara University, Istanbul in 2003. She is currently an Associate Professor of Political History at the Department of International Relations at Sakarya University, Turkey. She is the author of numerous published papers and several books and edited volumes. Her research focuses in particular on the international relations, foreign and security policies of Russia, Ukraine, Central Asia, Caucasus, Balkans and Middle East. Her broader interests cover regional conflicts, regionalism, foreign policy analysis. Dr. Giray Saynur Bozkurt's areas of expertise Turkish foreign policy with emphasis on the Balkans the Caucasus, Central Asia, Russia, Black Sea Region, Turkish-EU, Turkish-US, Turkish-Russian relations as well as Balkan politics. She is currently teaching courses on foreign security policy, diplomatic history, contemporary security threats and politics in Eurasia. She is the author of numerous published papers and several books and edited volumes. Her last book is The Struggle for Power in Central Asia and The Caucasus: Geopolitics and the Great Game After the Cold War. She is a council member of the International Peace Research Association (IPRA). She was a visiting scholar in Russia and the United States. She is fluent in English, Russian and Turkish.
