Autor Marlin Bree BA
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 14 mar 2023
"Bold Sea Stories 2 is a compilation of 26 nonfiction boating adventures and survival tales complete with 60 photos, illustrations, diagrams and charts. Award-winning author Marlin Bree tells with a seasoned mariner's eyes authentic accounts (some highly personal) of extraordinary voyages, single-handed feats, and great boats---some doomed to rest forever beneath the waves. The topics range from a schoolteacher in his home-built 10-foot plywood sailboat fighting his way across the North Atlantic to a new world's sailing record, a solo boater trying to beat the odds in his 60-foot racer in the toughest around-the-world sailboat race, and, a solo sailor (the author) being overtaken in his home-built 20-foot sloop by "the storm of the century" on the world's largest freshwater lake. (Lake Superior is now increasing in the news as the world-wide drouth intensifies and freshwater sources dry up.) Marlin Bree is a former editor for the Minneapolis Tribune and has been honored with two Grand Prize Writing Awards from Boating Writers International"--
