When the Carter family visit Ireland for a holiday their nightmares begin when their daughter mentions an imaginary friend. Then, when Joan Carter experiences a series of brutal attacks by an unseen entity, her husband struggles to believe her until his wife later reveals terrible bruises and an unidentifiably mark on her buttock, and together they try to understand it's significance.
