Recenzii

Covering the historical period from 1492 to 1815, this collection includes monographs, reference works, exhibition catalogues and essay collections reviewed in at least one of a select group of journals and periodicals. Irwin provides full citations including cross-references to periodical reviews of the books listed. He groups the entries under about three dozen headings, including historiography and public history, Native Americans, race and slavery, gender, migration, society, families and children, religion, revolution, law, crime, ideas, literature, education and the performing arts. Judging from the entries this period was particularly rich in research.
