"On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me, two snow birds, " appears above an elderly couple found dead in their hotel bed; their bodies in a disturbing post-mortem pose. Making matters even more bizarre, the letters had been written in blood. FBI Agent Matthew Clark Williams (Mac) is forced to team up with Kansas City Police Detective John Malone. Malone was one of the first officers at the scene of this grisly crime. The two soon discover this murder is the first of a series of killings performed by a serial killer who calls himself the Snow Storm. As the investigation grows to a close Mac and Malone discover the murders are becoming personal. In the midst of the investigation Mac learns that he has inherited a secret from his father, a secret he can only share with John and a waitress named Veronica. It is through this secret alone that Mac can solve the crime, face his destiny and allow a legend to be reborn.
