BORN OUT OF SPITE is an excellent uncommon gripping read, yet to be fully discovered for its ironic humor. It reveals the strength of the human spirit in the face of great adversity. It chronicles quite a painful journey beyond its first pages with unexpected candor. (And can easily be an instructive manual for young women.) Ms. Jack speaks with astounding honesty as she effortlessly takes the reader along. She shows that regardless of circumstance, each of us has an innate sense of right and wrong. Despite an awful childhood, Ms. Jack was still able to travel in search of a better life. Regardless, it is she who must dig deep to find the strength to carry on, leaving woeful relationships behind within the confines of privation. She shows us how life shapes us into what we become, hopefully better souls. And that despite dreadful life lessons with challenges, or how troubled our paths maybe, we can endure much and still be at peace with ourselves.
