During Penny's many Vision Quests she travels to exotic places, eventually landing in San Miguel de Allende, a magical place of healing high in the mountains of Mexico. She manages to forget Rob and their life together until dreams-some are nightmares-begin to haunt her. These dreams help her to understand why they had to leave each other more than thirty years before. They also lead her back to Rob.
