When long hunters paused along the banks of the Barren River in the mid-1700s, little did they realize that this beautiful, varied landscape would one day boast a thriving city. Today, the city is hailed as the educational, retail, and commercial hub of South Central Kentucky. Preserved in this photo journal is the area's rich and vibrant past.
