As an historian and author of 36 books, Marci Lynn McGuinness owns the rights to many true stories. After 23 years of research and two speedway books, she has become the world's expert on the Summit Mountain Hill Climbs and Uniontown Speedway board track run by coal, film and auto moguls in the early days of racing. Speed Kings is inspired by the barons, brutes and one silent film star behind ten years of international fame and fortune during the board track era, WWI and the coal and coke boom in southwestern Pennsylvania. I have access to ALL of the vintage automobiles needed for this film, even the one/s we need to crash and burn. I also have access to locations(the original hotels, the watering trough, period garages, land to construct a temporary track), and local saw mills and men to build the partial track. Thousands of people are awaiting this film. I also know drivers who are ready to roll and the county will turn out to fill the stands if filmed in this area. I can also raise some of the funds and crew. I was one of Gary Shuset's last students at Sherwood Oaks Film School. He called me two days after the class requesting all of my pitches.
