Braised Blue is a food blog I started in late February 2012 under the assumption that the world would end in December 2012. The end did not come, so I decided to create something more than just a blog. There have been people have published books based on their blogs but until now, none have been quite this delicious. Braised Blue: Year One recounts the food, the feelings and the images that went into my first year of blogging. Food, wine, whisky, mental illness and humour; all dove tail into one informative, visually striking and funny book. Braised Blue: Year One is all about making and elevating the food that you want to eat. Whether it's the classically simple Braised Blue Burger or the delicate Clams with White Wine sauce Braised Blue has something for everybody, every season and breakfast. Braised Blue: Year One has over 50 seasonal recipes and a series of humorous essays on mental health, food, wine and whisky. It also features my photography of food and of my travels from all over North America.
