Notă biografică
Jill Barrett is Visiting Reader in the School of Law, Queen Mary University of London, where she teaches public international law to postgraduate students. She is co-convenor of a new LLM course on International Law and Governance of the Polar Regions. Her research interests are mainly in the law and practice of treaties, the polar regions and law of the sea. She is a barrister and Associate Member of 6 Pump Court Chambers, London. She also works as an independent international law consultant, providing advice and training to governments, international organisations and NGOs. She is currently Research Consultant to the Centre for International Law, National University of Singapore. She was Visiting Professor at Kobe University, Japan, and Arthur Watts Senior Research Fellow in Public International Law at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law.
Dr. Jean-Pierre Gauci is research fellow in Public International Law at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and director of The People for Change Foundation, a Malta based think tank. Over the years he has consulted to various national and international governmental and non-governmental organisations on various aspects of migration and refugee law and policy. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta where he lectures international migration law and on the human element of ocean governance. He has published extensively on various aspects of international migration. Jean-Pierre holds a PhD in Law from King’s College London, and a Doctor of Laws and a Magister Juris in International Law from the University of Malta.
