As I sit down to write this I find myself in a very unique place. It has been so very difficult over the past few years. I wanted to be able to share my story in hope that maybe I could touch someone else, and help them to understand the pain and sorrow that has engrossed them. If you are looking for a book with medical information about how to diagnose or treat some of the illnesses I will discuss then you have come to the wrong place. This is about a journey. About living one day at a time and never giving up. There were times when I felt like giving up all hope, in fact there was a period when I did give up. I even lost the will to live. Eventually I begin to rise, however I had to force myself to want to live. Going to church was a chore and praying was difficult. This book will talk about my ups and downs, the good times and bad, the joys and the sorrows. I will talk about how to recognize some signs of depression, not clinical terms but the way I felt, the things I did, and how it affected those around me. I will give you scripture references that helped me to stay focused and close to God. Jesus loves me I do believe that and I have felt his presence many times. I will talk about how I was able to recognize him through the darkness and how my family and friends encouraged me and allowed me to live when I wanted to die. I will discuss my leukemia and how it has affected me and my life. Again nothing technical, but my journey, my emotional rollercoaster, and the triumphs and failures, life is a journey, get ready to ride.
