The wonder, and disbelief, of why other kid's parents love them, and mine did not. This book is a "How To" grow up, and do it very quickly. In a dysfunctional family, the parents are in a constant state of combat. The mother, the father, or both, abuse their children. It is a "black comedy." This is a true story of how a child played a game of chess against his father, and put him in "Check Mate." If I have done this right, you will find some very funny life situations. Some of them will bring some of your own memories, back up to the surface. If I have done this right, you will have to push yourself to keep reading. That a child can be so brutalized, and still fight back, because what is happening is so very wrong. There is no greater hypocrisy, than to claim that you are disciplining your child, in the name of God There is no greater miracle, that I am still here, and can write about the wrongs. If I can somehow save a little "Buddy," from what I had to endure, and sometimes could not, then this book was worth writing.
