"The little ladybug explores the tangle of leafy plants around her. She crawls across long leaves that arch and bend like living bridges . . . Then the little ladybug lifts and swivels her fiery-red front wings, ready for takeoff."

Notă biografică

Lynette Evans has written many books for children. She felt as lucky as a ladybug when she was writing Bug Life, because it reminded her of a time when she saw an insect larva wriggle and change into a pupa right before her eyes, like magic. Lynette loves to see ladybugs in her garden, because when it comes to getting plants to grow, she needs all the luck she can get! She lives in Auckland, New Zealand.

Francesca D’Ottavi lives in Rome with her partner and a cat. Francesca has always loved drawing, and so to avoid making a mess of other things, she made it her profession. Used to working on historical subjects like warriors and adventurers, Francesca found diving into the tiny world of insects a lovely experience. Francesca has an eclectic portfolio and loves illustrating for children, both fiction and non-fiction.
