In the old days, Africa was Africans. Nobody ever knew there existed other people outside the continent of Africa. Then the Arabs came and they traded with the communities along the coastlines, and with them they brought a new evil called slave trade. People got used to the Arabs coming and going, some even settling along the coastlines. People thought the Arabs were the only people out there...then came the Europeans with their Bibles and their churches, and their hospitals. They were better than the Arabs, they brought books and taught people how to count and write, and speak their language to act as middlemen. They were teaching Africans how to be civilized, so they were welcomed. A few years later, that became a foundation for colonial settlers to invade the land. They started as traders and before anyone knew they had taken over community lands.. they formed a government and asked people to pay taxes to that government... and people were not happy
