Recenzii
The quality of the essays is, as you would expect in the context, very high and yet each of them remains accessible to the reader.
You need not be a dedicated Lewis fan to enjoy this collection, though such will welcome it; there is much to interest the general reader and, perhaps, to introduce themes from Lewis' life and work to those who might not expect to find or like them.
rich and varied collection
It is difficult to say which essays, which memoirs, are most enjoyable
C. S. Lewis and His Circle is strongest as a collective memoir and will appeal to those looking for a picture of the man from those who knew him well. Certainly, Narnia enthusiasts will find something here albeit hidden behind texts they might not find as appealing to start with
... this welcome collection ... will have an important place in Lewis studies.
incisive essays ... C.S. Lewis and His Circle offers something for every reader
