Tales from the woods, the adventures (and mostly misadventures) of a young Boy Scout in a small community, as recalled fifty years later through the eyes of that Scout, but now as an adult. These stories, based in real situations, chronicle camping and cooking disasters, run-ins with nature, and the ever-present problems with leaders and fellow Scouts. Possums, skunks, bugles, burned food, holely tents, and poison ivy abound in these sylvan sagas.
