Agnes Heller is Hannah Arendt Professor of Philosophy at the New School for Social Research and a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She is the author of numerous works, including On Instincts; Renaissance Man; The Power of Shame: A Rational Perspective; Beyond Justice; and General Ethics.
