Nia Worthington didn't have the easiest life growing up. After her father suddenly died, her mother moved her from Los Angeles to Mississippi, away from all the family that she had known. Life didn't become any easier as she had to contend with fighting within her home, her grandmother's strict rules and molestation from a neighbor. She grows up to be a seemingly confident woman making good money, but without a man. Having no real, quality relationship history, she decides to give the internet a try to find Mr. Right since other conventional ways hadn't worked for her. She meets Patrick Harrison, a college professor who is kind and considerate in his own quirky way. He makes her feel loved and safe, giving her all that she had been missing.
