Notă biografică
Professor Humaid Al-Shamsi is the Director of Burjeel Oncology Services in the UAE & GCC, the largest cancer care provider network in the UAE. He is also the President of the Emirates Oncology Society. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah, and also a Professor of Oncology at the Gulf Medical University in Ajman, UAE.
Professor Al-Shamsi is the first Emirati to achieve a full professorship in oncology within the UAE. He serves as the Chairman for Colorectal Cancer in the MENA region by the esteemed NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Network). He is the chairman of the Oncology and Hematology Fellowship Training Program for the National Institute for Health Specialties in the UAE.
Prof. Al-Shamsi has triple specialty board certifications in internal medicine and medical oncology from the UK, USA, and Canada. He has authored and co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles published in prestigious journals such as JAMA Oncology, Lancet Oncology, The Oncologist, and BMC Cancer.
