Cannabis occupies one of the most important chapters in the history of world medicine. Abundantly supplied by nature, cannabis is non-toxic, safe and has a wide range of applications in treating human health and disease. For centuries, cannabis treated a number of mental health disorders as well as physical ailments and dysfunctions. When did we become incapable of choosing what is best for ourselves? In other words, when did we give up the right to choose our own health care? Over the past several decades, the federal government has sponsored research to find negative effects in cannabis, while blocking research into the positive effects. Ironically, however, in the government's quest to search for the harm in this plant, a remarkable amount of evidence appeared on the astounding medicinal benefits in this plant.
