A hippy chick named Cassandra Stevens craves adventure one wet, Wednesday night in October. She lands at The Childe Harold, a bar on Dupont Circle, where she meets Harry Shields. She strikes up a conversation with him and learns that he is a shell shocked Korean War vet who works as a P.I. Their physical attraction is so intense that after four dates they're engaged.
