This volume provides students with dan abridged yet sufficiently comprehensive edition of the major contemporary reties of the Roman Catholic Church. It includes large excerpts from the Roman Missal: the General Instruction, the complete Order of Mass, and a generous selection of prayers from the Sacramentary, including alternate Eucharistic Prayers and the rites of the Triduum. The contemporary Roman Catholic Eucharist, in its texts, may be adequately studies from the materials included here. For all of the other Catholic sacraments, one complete version of each rite (and more in some cases) is found here along with its introduction or introductory section in virtually unabridged form.
