Unarguably, Nigeria is a land full of milk and honey but ironically and perhaps unfortunately too, there is abject poverty in the land. This is because the wealth of the nation is not evenly distributed. The consequence of the situation is that for anyone who does not belong to the class of the privileged few and their descendants, one has to be strongly focused and determined to break the yoke of poverty in order to, at least, live a modest and descent life that entails affordability of feeding, raising and training one's children and having a roof on one's head. Luckily for Kosamotu Osundiji, he fought against all odds as narrated almost incredibly in his Memoir in order to break the shackles of poverty. In the above regard, the Author had either consciously or unconsciously joined the league of other Nigerians who became so eminent by their sheer determination to make it in life. For me, "Caught in the Web of Poverty: A True African Story" will certainly serve as tremendous inspiration to not only young Nigerians and Africans but to the entire Youths of the world. The book is an embodiment of positive and "I can" attitude with the potential of transforming lives. It is for this reason that it has my strongest recommendation as a 'must read', indeed, by the young and old across all nations.
