Well there is a difference between the two, and both means more than just withholding sex, We want the women, or the men, that may read this book to understand that every abstinence purpose has a plan, and every celibate plan is never without a purpose. And if you are thinking about being abstinent, or celibate, well then you have got the right book. For the record abstinence simply says that you are going to abstain from having sex, for a certain period. While, celibacy puts you on a path of absolute celibacy until marriage or forever. While to some celibacy is a journey, to others, abstinence may be a trip. Celibacy is also an act of faith, meaning faith is something that, according to the word of God we all have a measure of faith. Romans 12:3. And since faith is an action word when we decide to make the decision to be celibate, we are saying to ourselves and to the world. That this is the path that I have chosen, that will hopefully lead me to the preparation for marriage.
