Notă biografică
Thomas Wucherpfennig, born in 1982 in Erfurt, studied Biotechnology from 2003 to 2009, at the Technische Universität Braunschweig and at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Canada. During an internship he spent 9 month at the Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Penzberg, where he worked on the bioprocess optimization with mammalian cells. He received his Diplom 2009 and subsequently accepted a position as research assistant at the Collaborative Research Center SFB 578, ¿Development of biotechnological processes by integrating genetic and engineering methods ¿ From gene to product¿, where he investigated the relationship between fungal morphology and product formation. Later he successfully deployed novel methods for optimization of biotechnological processes involving plant cells, in a collaboration with the Phyton Biotech GmbH. In 2013, Thomas Wucherpfennig received his Doctorate degree in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) after successfully defending his PhD thesis in February 2013.
