Kaitlin, still fairly new to the Oglala Sioux people's ways, was curious about her husband's past. Should their child be born a boy, Kaitlin wanted to know what it will be like for their son to grow up in the shadow of his father, a mighty war chief. Spirit Bear was happy to share his experiences with her. He recounted his history by highlighting his major coups. He whisked Kaitlin back to a time when his name was Red Hawk.

Sheri Chapman loves life and laughing, but you couldn't tell it by her stories. Although she writes historical romance, a lot of her work is suspense/thriller, supernatural, shape shifter, dark fiction, and a dab of horror.Other professional experience for Sheri includes teaching in Missouri Public schools. She recently retired (2020) with thirty years of experience. Now she splits her time between writing, HR responsibilities, and working on her farmette. Sheri has chickens and a few Nigerian goats, but most of her non-writing time goes to raising exotic-colored fluffy Pomeranians. (She's a licensed kennel.)On the personal front, Sheri is the mother of four beautiful daughters. She and their father enjoy spending time with each other, family, and friends. Aside from reading and writing, Sheri loves animals and being outdoors. She likes going for walks, fishing, scuba diving, kayaking, playing games, and watching movies. She is a big Harry Potter fan. For those interested in Sheri's educational background, she received her bachelor's degree and first master's in special education from Missouri State University.
