LYNDA SMITH is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing at Sheffield Hallam University, UK.VALERIE COLEMAN was, until recently, a Lecturer in Children's Nursing at University of Sheffield, UK. Both Lynda and Val are experienced children's nurses as well as lecturers. Along with Maureen Bradshaw, they have also published Children and Young People's Nursing in Practice (Palgrave Macmillan, 2006).
